Connecting the PP 1SUB to the PP 41DSP
The PP 41DSP can be complemented with the
PP 1SUB amplifier in combination with one of the
subwoofers from the MATCH series. All setups
stored in the PP 41DSP are optimized for the
PP 7E-D and PP 7S-D if not otherwise stated in the
setup list. If a different woofer has been used for
specific setups, this is explicitly mentioned.
The connection itself can be done within a few mi-
nutes. Depending on the mounting location it is eit-
her possible to connect the “Subwoofer Output” of
the PP 1SUB to a MATCH subwoofer utilizing the
1.0m cable that is supplied with the amplifier or the
4.80m cable that comes with the subwoofer. The
“unused” cable will be needed to combine the “PP
41DSP Connector” of the PP 1SUB with the “PP
1SUB Connector” of the PP 41 DSP.
Make sure that you don’t mix the input and output
connectors of the PP 1SUB as both terminals are
mechanically identical!
As soon as the PP 1SUB is hooked up to the PP
41DSP, the last-mentioned will automatically chan-
ge the highpass filters for the front and rear spea
-
kers accordingly.
Please note:
The PP 1SUB does not require a se-
parate power supply – all is included in the harness
to the PP 41DSP.
Important notice:
Depending on the wire
gauge and fuse rating of the car’s original har-
ness it might be necessary to directly connect the
PP 41DSP to the car’s battery. Otherwise signi-
ficant voltage drops on the power line may cause
sound dropouts at music high listening levels or
even blow the car radio’s fuse. For details see page
17 topic 3b.
