SETTING THE CUTTING DEPTH
The cutting depth of the blade should be
set to suit the thickness of the material
being cut. The cutting depth should be
approximately 1/8" (3 mm) greater than the
thickness of the material being cut.
1. Push the depth adjustment lever (1)
downward in a counter clockwise
direction (2) (Fig. 7).
2. Pull the sole plate (3) downward until
the correct amount of the blade is
protruding below the sole plate.
3. Lift upward on the depth adjustment
lever in a clockwise direction to lock
the sole plate in position.
BEVEL CUTTING
The sole plate can be tilted to provide
bevel cuts from 0°
–50°.
Adjusting the sole plate angle
1. Lift upward on the bevel gauge
adjustment lever (1) and rotate it in a
counter-clockwise direction (Fig. 8).
2. Rotate the sole plate (2) to the desired
angle as shown on the bevel gauge
(3).
3. Tighten the bevel gauge adjustment
lever by rotating it in a clockwise
direction to lock the sole plate in
