7 Operation on a PC
7.1 GetPos Software
Using the GetPos software, you can send position values to
your PC, and have the option of saving them in an ASCII text
file (.txt) or an Excel-compatible file (.csv) for further processing.
To send position values from the PROFILER ST to your PC, and
to process them with GetPos, the PROFILER ST and your PC
must be correctly connected and configured.

Installing GetPos
1 Create a new folder on your hard drive, to which you would
like to install GetPos. Name the folder, e.g.
GetPos .
2 Insert the installation CD in the CD drive.
3 Open the ..\ Software\GetPos folder.
4 Copy the file GetPos.exe to the folder on your hard drive
which you have created in step 1.
GetPos is now installed on your PC.

Identifying the COM interface
To configure GetPos, you need to identify the COM interface,
which is used by the PROFILER ST.
1 Open the Device Manager:
