3 Product Description
3.1 Identification
You can find all required information for clear identification of
the PROFILER ST on the identification plate. The identification
plate is attached to the underside of the PROFILER ST.
3.2 Area of Application
The PROFILER ST is used as an intelligent digital readout unit for
measuring stages, machine tools and other measuring setups.
Up to 3 incremental length measuring systems with the stan-
dard interfaces
1Vss or TTL (RS-422) can be connected to the
PROFILER ST .
The PROFILER ST SSI model allows connection and evaluation of
3 additional absolute length measuring systems that provide an
SSI signal. Via the display of the PROFILER ST, up to 3 of max.
6 connected measuring systems (3 x 1Vss/TTL (RS-422) , 3 × SSI )
can be evaluated. The measuring systems to be displayed can
be selected freely.
Using the integrated position correction, systematic length
errors of the measuring setup can be corrected. Evaluating
reference signals creates an absolute reference of the position
correction values to the machine zero, even when using incre-
mental measuring systems.
The PROFILER ST is operated via the integrated touchscreen.
The PROFILER ST can also be connected to a PC over an RS-
232 or USB interface. The analysis and programming of the
PROFILER ST via the PC can be carried out with the
GetPos
software or directly by using the instruction set.
