DMX Dim Group Manager
The lower left corner of the DMX Dim Group Manager has a drop down box that allows you to select
which Dimmer Group is being controlled by this window. From this window you can view incoming
DMX values from the console controlling the selected dimmer group and you can control it manually.
The Dimmer fader acts as an output master for the group. The Mx Level, In Level, and RGB Level
faders sets a factors by which the pixelmapping values defined by the Maxedia video, the direct
control from the console, and the RGB values sent to the dimmer group are used to determine the
final color information that will be sent from the Maxedia to the fixture in the rig. This allows you the
freedom to change the way fixtures are used throughout the course of your show. Some fixtures you
may want to have playing video most of the time where as others you may want console control of
most of the time and only play video thru them and specific moments. The R G and B faders let you
manually set color levels to the whole group. This is very helpful if you have a large number of LED
fixtures that will be playing video most of the time but that you want to control them as a group
occasionally but do not want them patched in your console.
Fixture Groups
Fixture Groups are created by selecting the fixtures that you would like to group from the Fixtures
window. Click the Record button then select an open slot in the Fixture Groups window. Fixture
groups may be renamed by clicking on the Edit button, clicking on the group you wish to rename,
typing the new name, and clicking Enter. The Options button at the lower right brings up the options
listed along the bottom. Previous, Next and Highlight are useful for confirming that you have patch,
grouped and wired your rig correctly.
