SWIMMING POOL PUMPS
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
GB
WARNING!
To ensure safety and proper operation of this machine the user should read this manual carefully before
the first use. Please keep this manual in a safe and dry place for further use.
The pump must never work while people are using the pool.
The pump must be supplied through a residual current device with a rated residual operating power not
exceeding 30mA. The supply cord must follow the regulations of the country it is being used.
The supply cord must be plugged with connections having contact separation of at least 3mm between
each pole. For pumps being used outdoors, always use a H07RNF cable conform to European Standards.
This product must be properly grounded. Connect the earth wire before use.
In case of break-down, please contact your retailer or a qualified technician.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced with a cord or a special kit available from the
manufacturer or its after-sales department, or from people with similar skills, in order to avoid any danger.
When using an electric device, basic safety precautions have to be followed. Hereafter some safe operations:
Connect the earth wire before plugging in. This prevents you from a possible electric shock. Always use a
waterproof supply cord. Never connect to gas pipe or any other liquids: you can risk an explosion.
Avoid operating under dry running and delivering no water: that would damage the pump and the
warranty will not apply.
Never wrap the motor or the pump head with a blanket or a cloth in order to prevent from freeze or cold.
Avoid using the pump under direct rays from the sun, rain or any other bad weather conditions: a short
service would occur.
This pump must not be used by physically, sensory or mentally disabled persons (including children), or by
persons without any experience or skills, except if they can be looked after by someone in charge of their
safety, or if they have been given instructions on how to use the pump. Children must be looked after to
make sure they do not play with the pump.
The so-called self-priming pumps must be primed at the first use. Although described
as self-priming, the pumps must be primed by adding water into the strainer, if it is not
already filled with water: after re- opening a pool in spring or when installing a new
pump for example. When the strainer is filled with water, the pump does prime itself.
Filling the strainer with water helps to lubricate the mechanical seal which ensures
water tightness between the hydraulic and electric components of the pump. Without
water into the strainer, the pump’s engine may overheat, causing permanent damage
to the pump and thus rendering it unusable.
Installation & Diagram
Install the pump in a dry and ventilated
environment.
Place your pump horizontally on a flat
surface and fix it with bolts to avoid
undesired noise or vibrations.
Rubberized fabric or waterproof paste
must be used to seal the entrance and
exit.
Before operating, fill in the pre filter with
water and check there is no debris in the
filter of the pump.
