Check the wear on the cotter pin (

). The

diameter of the crowned section (arrows)
must not be less than the following values:

If the dimension is smaller than that given
above, have the cotter pin replaced by

Manitowoc Crane Care

or an authorised GROVE

dealer or your qualified repair crew.

•

Also check the cotter pin for the correct
vertical play. Take a screwdriver and press
the pin (

) upwards. The vertical play (

) of

the pin must not exceed 4 mm (0.15 in).
