H9 -"STATIONARY LIFT TRUCK" EXHAUST PARTICLE FILTER
REGENERATE
MANAGEMENT OF EXHAUST PARTICLE FILTER REGENERATION
DASHBAORD INDICATOR LAMP SIGNALS ACTIONS
+ + continuous ALARM.
High soot level.
Engine speed limited to 1400 rpm, only "stationary lift truck" regeneration must be performed .
+ + + continuous ALARM.
High soot level, automatic regeneration disabled.
+ + + continuous ALARM.
Very high soot level, particle filter clogged.
Reduced lift truck efficiency, shut down the lift truck and contact your dealer.
Exhaust particle filter cleaning is an automated procedure activated by the operator when the following
indicator lights are displayed:
+ + permanent ALARM.
It is IMPORTANT to start the "stationary lift truck" regeneration
- Check that there is sufficient fuel.
- Park the lift truck in a safe and adequately ventilated place.
- Start the lift truck and run the engine for a few minutes to bring it up to its operating
temperature.
- Check the following points:

- Press down on the top of switch 1 for more than two seconds to begin the regeneration
procedure.
- The indicator lights + go out. If the indicator light turns on with an audible
beep to confirm that ‘stationary lift truck’ particle filter cleaning is running.
- Otherwise, if the indicator lights + turn on again, with an audible beep, it indicates
that one of the conditions above have not been met. Double check the positioning of the lift
truck, repeat the operation and contact your manufacturer if necessary.
- During the procedure, the engine runs at full speed and at the end of the procedure, the
indicator light switches off.
The particle filter regeneration procedure must not be stopped unless absolutely necessary.
The procedure stops automatically if the operator:
- presses the accelerator pedal,
- releases the parking brake,
- or presses the top of switch 1.
The procedure is correctly halted by pressing the bottom of switch 1.
- During the procedure, the engine speed is controlled by the engine electronic control unit.
- The time taken for exhaust particle filter regeneration to complete varies (between 20 and 50 minutes) according to various criteria, such
as:

- The engine will return to its normal running speed to indicate that the procedure has finished.
Once the exhaust particle filter regeneration procedure is completed, leave the engine idling for a few minutes to lower the temperature before switching off the
ignition.
When the engine fault indicator light first turns on, immediately launch a "stationary lift truck" regeneration. Without launching this regeneration, you have
about 2 hours before moving to a higher level of alert which will be unrecoverable for the operator. At this point, the particle filter will need to be replaced by the
manufacturer.
