The controllable modules of the engine include:

−

Starter for starting the engine and cooling the engine

after operation

−

Igniter for igniting the fuel-air mixture during engine start

−

Fuel pump for fuel delivery and rotational speed

regulation

−

Two magnetic valves for controlling the engine starting

process

The sensors of the engine are:

−

A thermocouple for measuring the exhaust gas

temperature EGT

−

An inductive speed sensor for measuring the rotational

speed of the turbine wheel

Furthermore, the fuel flow is measured by a fuel flow meter and
recorded  by  the  ECU.  With  this  information  it  is  possible  to
display the fuel flow and the remaining fuel quantity on board to
the pilot on the JDU.
In  addition,  the  ECU  stores  important  engine  parameters,  the
operating  time  and  the  number  of  engine  starts  on  the  SD
memory card.
The configuration of engine parameters is possible via a USB
connection to the ECU and a corresponding PC software. The
configuration file may only be analysed and changed by M&D.
