READ BEFORE
USING THIS PRODUCT.
WARNING: Risk of Fire or Electrical Shock
•
Read power pack instruction sheet before attempting to install or
hook up the power pack. Failure to follow directions may result in
Risk of Fire or Electric Shock.
•
Use only or UL approved low-voltage cable. Failure to the correct
gauge cable or install it as directed in these instructions may result in
Risk of Fire or Electric Shock.
Assemble fixture as shown in illustration above. Be sure to run
wire leads through slot in stake.
Lay the fixtures out where you want to locate them.
The first fixture should be at least 10 wire feet from the power
pack.
WARNING-RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK:
Do not
place a fixture within 10 feet of a pool or spa.
With cable connected to power pack (SEE POWER PACK
INSTRUCTION SHEET) and power pack switched on, attach
each fixture to power cable using cable connectors as shown
below. Place one connector on each side of cable, then press
together to lock. Prongs will pierce cable to make contact and
illuminate fixture. The fixtures will illuminate when the
connection is complete.
To install, loosen ground with a shovel or
soften soil with water, then press stake into
ground. Do not use hammer. Do not push
head of fixture to install stake into ground as
it may break fixture. Do not point the laser
at highly reflective objects like windows or
water.
The laser diode may not operate in cold temperatures less than
32F (0° C). There is a heater that warns the diode for several
minutes when the temperature is less than 50F (10° C). The
heater may not be able to warm the diode sufficiently in
extremely cold temperatures.

CAUTION:
•
A laser diode is a solid state device that emits light of a single color
(wavelength). The light from a laser diode moves in a very straight /
parallel beam that does not diverge or dissipate as readily as light
from an incandescent light bulb.
A Class 3 laser as defined in ANSI Z136.1-2007 Safe Uses of Lasers is a
medium-power laser. Subclass 3R lasers are reduced-power,
visible-light lasers. Light from a Class 3R laser is potentially hazardous
under some viewing conditions. The eye must be appropriately
focused and stable, but the probability of an actual eye injury is small.
A Class 3R laser will not pose either a fire hazard or a viewing hazard
from being reflected in many directions off a surface. Special
protective eyewear is not required when using a Class 3R laser source.
Note that common laser pointers are Class 3R lasers.
The laser diode used in the Malibu laser projector is a Class 3R laser.
The light projected is visible (green), the power is less than 5mW, and
the laser diode is contained in a protective housing. The laser beam
goes through a diffraction grating that creates many smaller,
lower-power beams. These lower power beams are unlikely to create a
viewing hazard. However, the following safety procedures must be
followed:
•
Do not remove any laser warning labels from the light.
•
Avoid direct eye exposure to the beam. Do not stare
directly into the laser beam.
•
Do not remove the cover or lens. Do not operate the
laser with the cover or lens removed.
•
Do not remove the laser diode or optics from the light.
Do not attempt to modify the laser diode’s power supply.
•
Do not point the laser at highly reflective surfaces like
windows or water.
•
Do not view the laser light beams through any optics.
•
It is a Federal offense to point a laser device at aircraft.
DANGER:
Laser Radiation -- Avoid Direct Eye Exposure
Laser Diode -- Wavelength: 532nm
Max Power: <5mW
