Installation Instructions
CAUTION! Do not install damaged components.

TO TOUCH GLASS.
A barrier designed to reduce the risk of
burns from the hot viewing glass is provided
with this appliance and shall be installed for
the protection of children and other at-risk
individuals.
Preparation
CAUTION! Risk of Burns! The fireplace should be
turned off and cooled before contemporary kit is installed.
• Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power.
• Remove decorative front, glass assembly, glass seal
plate, lava rock, embers, logs and refractory, if previ-
ously installed.
CAUTION! Risk of Cuts, Abrasions or Flying Debris.
Wear protective gloves and safety glasses during instal-
lation. Sheet metal edges are sharp.
WARNING! Choking Hazard! Keep media out of reach
of children.
Note:
If an optional LINER kit will be used with the CK-
RUBY30/35, the LINER kit instructions will be needed
during installation of the CKRUBY30/35 kit.
Note:
The CKRUBY30/35 is not compatible with fiber
refractory.
WARNING! Risk of Injury! This kit must be installed by
a qualified service technician.
