12. Start-up
1. Before start-up, ensure that there are no
objects, small parts, dirt, etc., in the ducts.
2. Check that the technical data has been
adhered to

rating plate.
3. Ensure that the air can flow unhindered.
4. Switch the mains fuse on. The ventilation
starts up.
5. Carry out a function test: Check that the
remote control works. Re-register the
remote control if necessary according
to Chapter 12.1.

a ventilation unit

components on the board are touched.

Avoid direct contact with the board’s
components/contact surfaces.
Normally, the remote control (ZEG2
EC-FB) supplied with the ZEG2 EC
is already registered with the
ventilation unit. If several remote
controls are going to be used, switch
the unit off briefly before registering
them by unplugging the mains plug.
Registration recommendations:
Register the remote control(s) at the
ventilation unit first and then install
them.
1. Check whether there is a battery in the
remote control: Open the remote control
with the lower push button [11.1]. Insert a
CR 2032 battery. Close the remote control.
2. Unplug the mains plug. Wait 30 seconds
and then plug the unit back in.
The ventilation unit starts up.
Initially, the LED at the remote control flashes
alternately red, green, red. Then it turns
green permanently (teaching mode). You
now have 3 minutes to register the remote
control(s).

Registering the remote control
Press buttons and on the remote
control together until the LED [12] flashes
alternately red, green, red. The LEDs on
the board and the remote control both flash
green 10 times. The ventilation accelerates
briefly. The remote control has been
successfully registered and is ready for
use.
