DANGER
Risk of death in the event of fire from
fumes or poisonous gases if flammable
materials, liquids or gases ignite close
to the ventilation unit.
Do not place any flammable materials,
liquids or gases near the ventilation unit,
which may ignite and catch fire.
DANGER
Risk of death if the unit is operated with
an air-ventilated fireplace and
insufficient supply air being fed in.
When operating with air-ventilated
fireplaces, make sure there is sufficient
fresh air supply and ensure the
maximum permitted pressure difference
of 4 Pa for each living unit.
DANGER
Risk of death if an air-ventilated fireplace
is connected to an exhaust gas system,
which itself has multiple connections.
The air-ventilated fireplace may result in
exhaust fumes being transferred to other
living units. Risk of death, for example from
carbon monoxide.
Never use ventilation unit if there are air-
ventilated fireplaces in the living unit that
are connected to exhaust gas systems,
which themselves have multiple
connections.
DANGER
Explosion hazard when conveying
explosive gases or dust. In the event of
ignition caused, for example by sparks,
an explosion can happen or fire can
break out in the ventilation duct system.
Under no circumstances should the
ventilation unit be deployed in
atmospheres at risk from explosion.
DANGER
Risk to health for residents from
chemicals or aggressive gases/va-
pours. In addition, the ventilation unit
and ventilation ducts can be damaged
or become contaminated.
Chemicals or aggressive gases/vapours
may harm health, especially if they are
distributed throughout the rooms by the
ventilation unit.
Never use ventilation unit to convey
chemicals, aggressive gases or vapours.
NOTICE
Food odours when using the ventilation
unit in combination with a range hood in
exhaust air operation and with insuffi-
cient feed of external air.
Grease and oil vapours from range hoods
may contaminate the unit and ventilation
ducts and reduce efficiency.
Only deploy range hoods without
motors. Operation with range hood:
Install an outside air opening, compliant
with DIN 18017-3.
Ensure a pressure difference of 8 Pa
at nominal ventilation, compliant with
DIN 1946-6.
NOTICE:
Damage to the unit
Build up of condensation in the
ventilation duct system if conveying
steam-saturated air.
Do not use the ventilation unit for
conveying steam-saturated air, in
swimming pools or saunas, for example
Damage to the unit when conveying
greasy air.
Do not use the ventilation unit for
conveying greasy air.
Damage to the unit when used outdoors.
Only use the ventilation unit in an
indoor location.
