6.7.5 Frost protection temperatures
An internal frost protection monitoring
prevents the heat exchanger from freezing up
at low external temperatures. Temperature
sensors continually check the temperature on
the heat exchanger and of the outside air.
WS 170 comfort unit
Frost protection is ensured with the aid of the
internal frost protection heating register in the
outside air channel.
WS 170 standard unit
The supply air fan switches off if the outgoing
air temperature downstream of the heat
exchanger falls below the preset
"EF = Frost protection switch-on point".
The supply air fan only switches on again
when the temperature increases to the set
"AF = Frost protection switch-off point".
