6.7 Electrical connection
●
Only qualified electricians are permitted to
make the electrical connections, in compli-
ance with the circuit and wiring diagrams
in the Appendix.
●
Be sure to observe the relevant regula-
tions for electrical installation; in Germany,
particularly VDE 0100 for the correspond-
ding parts.
●
Check the mains supply to the building
before commissioning. This must comply
with the voltage specified on the venti-
lation unit.
●
Fixed power cable connection! Fixed
wiring is prescribed for the mains connec-
tion, in a distribution box, for example.
●
The power cable is already fully wired in
the electronics compartment. The room air
control cable should be provided by the
customer.
●
Lay all cables such that no danger of
tripping arises.
DANGER
Danger to life from electric
shock.
1. Switch off the mains fuse at
the fuse box when carrying
out any work on the ventila-
tion unit’s electrical equip-
ment.
2. Position a visible warning
notice to avoid the unit being
accidentally switched back on.
6.7.1 Room air control and additional
components
1. Install the room air control.
RLS D1 WR room air control: Install
the unit, e.g. in the living area, at a
height of approx. 1.5 m, in order to
guarantee safe operation of the
system.
2. Install the additional components as
described in chapter sections 6.8 to 6.14.
3. Connect the room air control and the
additional components as described in
their installation instructions. Lay the
control cables to the ventilation unit.
6.7.2 Cable screw-connection,
cable feed-in
The power cable is already fully wired.
4
Cable duct for room air control and
other external components.
5
Power cable screw connection
10
Electronic slide-in module with control
circuit board and optional extra circuit
boards for heating register/bypass shutter.
NOTICE
Danger of short-circuits/unit
damage caused by water
ingression in the electrical
terminal box.
Ensure correct connection.
Permissible connection cables
Only use permissible connection cables with
an outer diameter of 3.2 - 6.5 mm.
●
In case of an external operating display on
W3 e.g., 2 x 0.75 mm², external Ø 6.2 mm.
●
For a CO2 sensor on W3, e.g. LiYY
control cable 3 x 0.5mm², external
diameter 5.9 mm.
●
For control cable on
W2 e.g. LiYY 2 x 0.5 mm² and
W2´ e.g. LiYY 6 x 0.34 mm².
●
For the digital RLS D1 WR room air
control, a shielded control cable
e.g. LiYCY 2 x 0.75 mm².
1. Switch the mains fuse off. Position a
visible warning notice to avoid the unit
being accidentally switched back on.
2. Release the two quick-release clips and
remove the front cover.
