4. Secure the condensate elbow to prevent it
falling out. To do this, attach a cable tie [K]
to the condensate elbow and hook the
cable tie onto one of the eyes [16.3].
5. If moisture levels in the installation room
are disproportionately high:
Insulate the drain pipe [R] and/or drain
hose [S] and also the condensate
discharge outlet [A] to prevent condensate
forming at the drain.
6. Fit a siphon with drip funnel at a water seal
height [H] of min. 50 mm as shown.
NOTICE
Germs may build up if you
don't use a drip funnel. There
is then no disconnection from
drainage system.
The siphon needs a water seal
height [H] of min. 50 mm. Install
an open drip funnel with another
siphon at the drainage system,
to receive the condensate,
Figure. This disconnects the
ventilation unit from the
drainage system and prevents a
build-up of germs at the unit.
NOTICE
It is not permitted to install
several siphons one after
the other without duct
separation.
7. Now pour water into the condensate drain
in the ventilation unit. Check that the duct
connection is sealed and that condensate
is draining out.
8. Attach the front cover and fix it in place
with the two quick-release clips.
6.5 Ventilation channels
NOTICE
Damage to the unit caused
by objects in the ventilation
channels.
First install the ventilation unit
with all supply air and exhaust
air channels. Make sure that no
objects fall into the duct
connection and that there are
no objects in the ventilation
channels.
NOTICE
Water damage caused by
leaks due to missing rubber
seals/lip seals.
Only use appropriate plug
connectors and duct bends with
rubber seals and/or lip seals
accessories, Chapter. 8.
To prevent leaks, these duct
connections and the connected
ducts must be sealed so that
condensate cannot escape.
6.5.1 Recommended connecting ducts,
plug connectors and duct bends

Folded spiral-seams duct Ø 125 mm with
corresponding fittings and connecting
pieces.

Elastic connections for decoupling / redu-
