1. General notes

Before installation, read these
installation instructions carefully
as well as the operating and
maintenance instructions for the
WS 170. Follow the instructions.
Pass the instructions over to the
owner for safekeeping for future
use.
1.1 Installation staff
The ventilation unit may only be installed by
specialist installers with proven competence.
Only qualified electricians are permitted to
make the electrical connections.
Installation staff are trained in electrical
engineering and are aware of the risks and
consequences of an electric shock.
1.2 Symbols used
DANGER
Direct risk of danger. Failure to
observe will result in severe
injury or death.
WARNING
Possibly dangerous situation
which could result in minor to
moderate injuries.
NOTICE
Possible situation which could
cause damage to the product or
its surroundings.

R = right-hand version
L = left-hand version
WS 170 R, WS 170 L: Standard unit with
RLS 1 WR room air control and 2x G4 filter.
WS 170 RET, WS 170 LET: Standard unit
with enthalpy heat exchanger, RLS 1 WR
room air control and 2x G4 filter.
WS 170 KR, WS 170 KL, WS 170 KRET,
WS 170 KLET:
Comfort unit with RLS 1 WR
room air control. As the standard unit but
with 1x G4 and 1x F7 pollen filter, additional
electric heating register and sound-optimised
housing with extra insulation.
WS 170 KBR, WS 170 KBL: Bypass unit
with digital RLS D1 WR room air control.
As comfort unit. Also with bypass channel.
