[A], take out plate [B] and insulation [C] (if
necessary, use knife to cut out insulation
around the knockout point). Remove so-
cket [S] and fit in new position. Fit parts [C]
and [A] at previous socket position.

7. For QD AR and QD AL units , screw down
the hood with all 4 screws.
10.6 Installing condensate drain

NOTICE
Without a siphon, the ventilation unit will draw
in air through the drain pipe. Always install a
siphon (1½ ” external thread). Never fit several
siphons one after another without a pipe
divider.
NOTICE
Bacterial attacks are possible if a siphon is
fitted without a drip funnel as the siphon is
not then disconnected from the wastewater
system. Siphon needs seal water drop of at
least 50 mm. Install an open drip funnel with
another siphon at the drain end.
1. Remove front plate and front cover

chapter 10.2.
2. Fit a siphon and open drip funnel on the
condensate drain.
3. If the humidity level in the installation room
is disproportionately high, insulate the
drain and condensate drain connector to
avoid condensate.
4. Fill drain with water, check seal integrity
and drainage. Fill the siphon up with water
after long dry periods too.
5. Fit siphon with drip funnel and seal water
drop of at least 50 mm.

NOTICE

Condensation is produced during heat reco -
very and has to be removed correctly via the
condensation drain.
1. Release the two quick-release clips and
remove the front cover.
