1 Scope of delivery

Scope of delivery depends on the
system configuration.
1.1 PP 45 O ventilation unit
● Slide-in module, complete with fan unit and
ceramic heat exchanger
● One G2 and one G3 air filter
● Internal cover, complete with manually
adjustable shutter
● Motor connection plug connector with
separate plate
● These mounting instructions for final
mounting set
1.2 PP 45 K ventilation unit
● Slide-in module complete with fan unit and
ceramic heat exchanger.
● One G2 and one G3 air filter
● Internal cover, complete with electric shutter
● These mounting in structions for final

1.3 PP 45 RC ventilation unit
● Slide-in module complete with fan unit and

2 Specialist installer qualification
Shell measures may only be undertaken by a
trained specialist. Only a trained electrician
is permitted to undertake final mounting and
work on the electrics. You are considered a
trained electrician if your specialist training
and experience
● means that you are familiar with the relevant
standards and guidelines
● enables you to correctly and safely under-
take the electrical connections in accord-
ance with the wiring diagram provided and
● enables you to recognise and avoid risks
and hazards associated with electricity.
After successful installation and commis-
sioning, instruct users in the ventilation
unit and operating units.
3 Intended use
PP 45 ventilation units with heat recovery are
used for air extraction / ventilation of apart -
ments, offices and similar rooms. They are
suitable for new builds and renovation work.
The units are designed for 24h operation. The
residential unit’s ventilation system should be
configured in accordance with DIN 1946-6.
PP 45 are ventilation units, which are gener-
ally only suited to use in supply air rooms .
To achieve efficient ventilation of PP 45 units,
we would recommend operating the PP 45
in pairs with alternating ventilation and air
extraction.
PP 45 are fitted in external walls (wall thick -
ness 265-790 mm). The electrical connection
is made to a permanent electrical installation.
The ventilation units are operated using a
room air control suited to the unit type:
● RLS 45 O or RLS 45 K control
for PP 45 O/K and PPB 30 O/K.
●
Radio switch DS 45 RC
for PP 45 RC/
PPB 30 RC. Alternatively with RLS 45 K +
PP 45 EO radio extension module.
PP 45 ventilation units are only intended for
domestic use and similar purposes. No other
or additional use is intended.
