5 Installation
5.1 Installation instructions
The specifications of the roofing trade and the
specialist rules of the sanitation, heating and air-
conditioning trade should be noted when installing
the product. The activities described in these in-
stallation instructions require the specialist know-
ledge acquired from completing professional
training to become a carpenter, roofer or plumber.
Only perform this installation work yourself if you
have this specialist knowledge.
When undertaking the practical work, the on-site
conditions, the rules of technology and local regu-
lations should be observed.
Incorrectly performed installation can result
in leakage and consequential building dam-
age.
5.2 Installation preparation on the
roof
1. Define installation position of

outlet duct.
2. Open roof cladding and make cut-out for roof
outlet duct.
3. Use material provided by the customer (roof
batten) to build an auxiliary construction (*) to
support the roof outlet duct.
The spacing needed may vary depending on
the type of roof covering. The specified 15 cm
should be checked during installation and ad-
justed if required.
5.3 Installation of roof outlet duct
1. Insert roof outlet duct

into roof
opening.
On outside of roof:
Place roof outlet duct on the auxiliary construction
(*). Ensure a projection of 1-2 cm. Then align roof
outlet duct horizontally and fix in place on site
(e.g. to rafters).
On inside of roof:
The length of the roof outlet duct should be di-
mensioned on site, so that the upper edge of the
roof outlet duct is flush with the finished wall on
the inside.
