6. On the inside, also seal the gap between the
roof duct sleeve and roof outlet duct all around
with construction foam.
5.6 Installing roof cowl
1. Attach provided grooved sealing strips (1.) to
the sides and ridge.
2. Also attach grooved sealing strips to the upper
edge of the opening (2.).
This sealing prevents the drifting snow,
driving rain, leaves and small animals from
penetrating between the roof tiles and roof
covering frame.
3. Determine the distance between the roof cov-
ering frame and the centre of the fastening lug
(*).
4. Place the roof cowl and align the front side
plumb and level.
5. Draw on screw position. To do this, apply the
previously determined dimension to the roof
cowl.
Check that the roof duct sleeve has the re-
quired projection of 1 cm.
6. Fasten the roof cowl on both sides with the
supplied stainless steel self-tapping screws.
Before screwing on, check that the front is
aligned vertically. When installed correctly, the
roof duct sleeve has a projection of 1 cm.
5.7 Final installation
1. Cover roof tiles.
The roof tiles may have to be cut/adjusted.
