9 Installation conditions, installation prepara-
tions
• The ventilation unit is only suitable for indoor use (de-
gree of protection IP 00). Protect ventilation unit from
moisture and wetness.
•
Surface mounting of WS 75 RSAP:
Only mount ventila-
tion unit on a level wall with sufficient load-bearing ca-
pacity.
•
Flush mounting of WS 75 RSUP:
Only insert the ventila-
tion unit in a wall with sufficient load-bearing capacity.
Take into account the dimensions of the fully finished
wall → Sticker on flush-mounted shell kit.
• The customer should provide appropriate mounting ma-
terial for installation.
• Core hole diameter for outside/outgoing air incl. insula-
tion 160 mm, hole with 1 to 2 % downward slope to the
outside.
NOTICE Damage to the unit and damage to the masonry
due to condensation running down the wall if the unit is
installed incorrectly.
Install the wall sleeve in such a way that the condensation
water can run off in the drainage channel of the wall
sleeve towards the exterior wall (1 to 2 % downward
slope). The wall sleeve must protrude 10 - 20 mm beyond
the exterior wall after the plaster etc. has been applied.
• For rear wall supply air/exhaust air connection, use
MF-
WL 100
bracket and
MF-F75
flexible ducts from Maico.
• Electrical cables: Power cable, NYM 3x1.5 mm². If the op-
erating unit is placed externally, LIYCY 4 x 0.34 mm² type
control cable.
•
If the connecting cables are too short, the electronics
slide-in module cannot be fully pulled out and fitted in
the housing. Ensure connection cables of a sufficient
length inside the ventilation unit.
• Select installation position so as to avoid contamination
and draughts.
