Cause 3:
Thermal overload protection has
triggered (motor is overheated).
Measure EZQ../EZS..:
None. After it has cooled
off, the motor automatically turns on.
Measure DZQ../DZS..:
Leave fan off until the
motor and temperature limiter have cooled
down (up to
30 minutes). Only then switch it back on.
Cause 4:
The impeller is blocked or dirty.
Measure:
Remove foreign bodies or dirt.
Cause 5:
Winding short
Measure:
Replace fan.
Cause 6:
Air flows in wrong direction (motor
turns wrong direction).
Measure:
Check wiring
connection wiring
diagram. Reverse polarity if necessary.
EZQ.. B/EZS.. B units: Fan doesn’t start up or
motor too hot.
Cause:
Capacitor not installed/incorrectly
installed
Measure:
Connect the capacitor correctly.
EZQ.. B/EZS.. B units: Slight contact with the sta
-
tionary impeller may cause the fan to start.
