WARNING Danger of electric shock if the
connection on the 230 V input of the PP 45 RC
units and the RLS 45 O / RLS 45 K controller
is incorrect.
Ensure a phase balance between all components
connected to the ventilation system.
WARNING Danger of electric shock if the
RLS 45 O / RLS 45 K control is installed within
the protection zone.
No IP protection present (IP 00). The room air
control may only be installed outside protective
zones 0, 1 or 2.
WARNING Danger of electric shock if the
ventilation units are installed within the pro-
tection zone.
The units may only be installed in the specified
protection zones in accordance with the IP de-
gree of protection. Use
PP 45 only outside pro-
tection zones 0, 1 and 2. Use PPB 30 O , PPB 30
K only outside of protection zone 0. Use PPB 30
RC only outside of protection zones 0 and 1.
When wiring several unit pairs/ventilation
units, always use a deep/double flush-moun-
ted box (flush-mounted box provided by cus-
tomer).
Strip wires of connection cables sufficiently.
8.5 PP 45 RC
1. Mount slide-in module and internal cover as
described in PP 45 O / PP 45 K , steps 1 to 11.
2. Loosen screw for circuit board cover, take off
circuit board cover.
3. Plug fan connection cable [19] directly onto
circuit board.
4. Wire the 230 V power cable → Connection
and wiring diagrams [

81] in the appendix.
5. Fit board cover and screw down.
6. Attach front cover of internal housing at top in
two housing studs and swivel down until front
cover engages on locking lever.
Before putting on the front cover of the in-
ternal housing, the shutter must always be
open. To do this, switch on the unit.
8.6 Extending PP 45 ventilation unit
with PP 45 SE sound-absorbing ele-
ments
Sound reduction
• 1x PP 45 SE : 1,5 ... 2 dB(A).
• 2x PP 45 SE (2nd PP 45 SE turned by 45°):
2.5 ... 5 dB(A).
* If two sound-absorbing elements are installed,
we recommend turning them 45° away from each
other. This increases the sound insulation effect.
Installing PP 45 SE: Steps 1 – 5
1. Take PP 45 SE out of the film and open it
carefully.
2. Remove and dispose of core.
3. Carefully close PP 45 again.
4. Slide the slide-in module (PP 45 O/ PP 45 K/
PP 45 RC), inside the sleeve, as far as pos-
sible towards the exterior wall. NOTICE: Con-
necting cable must not be installed tautly.
