The ventilation units are operated using a room
air control suited to the unit type :
• Control RLS 45 O or RLS 45 K
for PP 45 O / PP 45 K and PPB 30 O / PPB 30
K .
• Radio switch DS 45 RC for PP 45 RC /
PPB 30 RC .
Alternatively, with RLS 45 K + radio extension
module PP 45 EO .
PP 45 units are only intended for domestic use
and similar purposes. Any other or additional use
shall be deemed improper.
5 Application examples
Example 1: Single-room application with a PP 45
unit pair
Recommendation: Operate PP 45 devices in
pairs.
Example 2: Combination of PPB 30 K + PP 45
units
1 PP 45 unit with alternating operation for
continuous ventilation of living spaces
2 PPB 30 K unit with balanced operation for
continuous ventilation in the bathroom
3 Room air control RLS 45 K
Supply air and exhaust air with change of
direction
Outside air and outgoing air with change of
direction
Ventilation solution for a 3-room flat with PPB 30
K ventilation units for the bathroom and PP 45
ventilation units for living spaces. The PPB 30 K
ventilates and extracts air from the bathroom, at
the same time, with balanced operation. A
PPB
30 K fan ventilates the room with air which has
been pre-warmed in the heat exchanger. The
other
PPB 30 K fan transfers the thermal energy
from the exhaust air to the heat exchanger during
air extraction. Every 60 seconds, the air direction
changes, thereby permitting a ventilation mode
with constant heat recovery. In case of high air
humidity, intensive ventilation can be activated via
a humidity sensor (automatically) or manually with
a button. Pure exhaust air mode is also possible
and here the two fans pump humidity out of the
room (no heat recovery).
