7. Air volume settings
In general, the internal cover [8] or cover [12]
of the thermovalve is usually open so that the
inside of the building is always supplied with
fresh air. The required air volume is shown in
the characteristic curves in Chapter 12.
ALD 10
1. Position the internal cover slider [8] so that
the necessary air volume is observed. The
slider position needed to ensure this air
volume is shown in Chapter 12.
2. The iris closure of the ALD opens/closes
depending on the setting.
● CLOSED = Slider all the way to the left
● AUF = Slider all the way to the right
ALD 10 T
1. Position cover [12] of the thermovalve so
that the necessary air volume is observed.
The opening gap [in mm] needed to en-
sure this air volume is shown in Chap. 12.
At temperatures of less than 10 °C
the gap changes by ± 1 mm per 1 °C
(minimum space 4 mm).
8. Cleaning, filter change

Wash out with clean water
if slightly dirty. Replace
with new one if very dirty.
8.1 Quarterly
Check the air filter [7] or [11] quarterly as
follows.
1. Take off the internal cover [8]/cover [12].
2. ALD 10: Take the filter holder and the
air filter out of the connection socket.
3. ALD 10 T: Take the air filter out of the
connection socket.
4. Blow out the air filter. If the filter is very
dirty, replace it with a new one.
NOTICE
For reasons of hygiene, do not
wash the air filter.
5. In the case of heavy soiling, clean the
complete air channel and all of the
housing components with a vacuum
cleaner.
6. Insert air filter (for ALD 10 incl. both filter
holders) in the connection socket.
7. ALD 10: Press internal cover [8] onto
connection socket until it snaps into place.
Mind the slider slot. Observe the setting
position (
Chapter 7).
8. ALD 10 T: Screw on cover [12]. Observe
the the setting position (
Chapter 7).
8.2 Annually
For reasons of hygiene, replace the air filter
annually
with a new one,
