4.16.4 EPB Warning Lamp / Parking Brake Warning Lamp
Warning Lamp ON: The warning lamp is turned on when there
is a fault in the EPB system.
Warning Lamp ON:
When parking brake is applied properly.
When brake fluid level is low.
When gear selector lever is shifted to P position with AUTO
HOLD.
• Check if the parking brake warning lamp is turned on or off
on the instrument cluster when applying or releasing the
EPB
• Improper operation of EPB switch (operating with excessive
force applied, continuous operation) may turn on the EPB
warning lamp. If this is the case, turn the ignition switch off
and then on again. The warning lamp will be turned off,
indicating that the EPB works normally
• If the EPB warning lamp stays on, have the vehicle serviced
at a Mahindra Dealer or Mahindra Authorised Service
Centre.
• If you have to park the vehicle with faulty EPB, safely pull over
and stop the vehicle on a flat surface and shift the gear
selector lever to the P position.
Do not let other people who are not familiar with the EPB
system or children operate the EPB switch. There is a danger
of accidents depending on the parking/stationary state of the
vehicle.
4.16.5 EPB Emergency Mode
If the brake pedal cannot be depressed because of the brake
system failure while driving the vehicle, brake the vehicle by pulling
up the EPB switch. The parking brake is applied as long as the
switch is pulled up. If this is the case, it may take longer to stop the
vehicle.
• Activating this emergency mode may have a negative effect
on the vehicle. Therefore, this feature only be used in an
emergency
• If you hear noises or smell a burnt odour from the related
components after using the EPB emergency mode, have the
vehicle checked and serviced at a Mahindra Dealer or
Mahindra Authorised Service Centre
