5 - Removal and Re-installation

Re-install 

Follow these steps to re-install the right side cover: 

1)

 

Reverse the last few steps to re-attach the new right side cover to the whole cover. 

2)

 

Re-install the touchscreen in the cover (see section 

5.36

). 

3)

 

Re-install the whole cover on the device (see section 

5.3

). 

4)

 

Re-install the magnetic stripe reader in the device (see section 

5.35

). 

5)

 

Re-install the top access door on the device (see section 

5.5

). 

6)

 

Complete any other service that requires the device to be powered off and open. 

7)

 

Power on the device and test it, paying special attention to the following: 

a)

 

Test the touchscreen and manual feed slot light and functionality by creating a sample card from 
the manual feed slot using the touchscreen. 

b)

 

Make sure the device shows 

Offline

 on the 

Status

 page when the top access door is open. 

c)

 

Test the electronic latches by testing the remote unlock function. 

8)

 

If the device does not power on or function properly, contact MagTek Support Services for assistance 
(see 

Appendix A Technical Support
