Magnet Array Width
Magnet arrays are available in one width. The width is designed to fit within the rails on the
MagneMover LITE motors.
Magnet Array Forces
As mentioned previously, there is a certain amount of thrust force available per magnet array
cycle; however, the number of cycles is not the only variable that affects available thrust.
Other variables are the Vehicle Gap and the Downstream Gap. These other variables and their
effect on available thrust are discussed later in this chapter.
Magnet Array Use
The MagneMover LITE high flux magnet arrays are intended for use as the MM LITE motor
secondary as part of the vehicle (puck) only and should not used for any other purpose.
NOTE: If debris is accumulated it can get caught between the magnet array and the motor.
Any accumulated debris will affect the performance and can damage the cover of the
motor or the magnet array.
Available Magnet Arrays
The magnet array is only available in the one size used on the pucks and precision rail vehi-
cles (refer to
Figure 4-17 on page 4-19 and Figure 4-18 on page 4-20 ).
