Attach Rail to Chassis (STEP 2) 

Attach Slide piece 

A

 to the side of the chassis. Position the spring end toward the rear of chassis.  Place as 

far forward as the whole alignment allows. Attach rail section to both sides of chassis before continuing. 

 

 

 
 
 
 

 

 

The screws that come with the slides will be too long and could potentially touch the Host PCB’s.  If you 
reuse the screws that are already on the sides, you will be fine.  These screws have Sems Lock washers and 
get two full turns into the threads and there are several that can be used on any rack slides.  They do not 
protrude deep into the chassis, but they give enough support

. 

 

Assemble Slide Rails (STEP 3) 

Measure the rack from front to back so you can confirm how long the rail must be to fit properly. In this 
example, the rack is 29” long.
