Replacing air dryer cartridge

The air dryer serves to withdraw the moisture from the
compressed air. This is done by directing all the compressed
air through a cartridge filled with drying agent. The drying
agent has the capacity to absorb the moisture.

Park the MT on level ground.
X
Stop the engine and withdraw the ignition key.
X
Release the pressure from the compressed air system
(all circuits).
X
Tilt the cabin, see “Tilting driver's cab” on page 44 .
X Unscrew the safety bolt.
The safety bolt secures the air dryer cartridge against
loosening. This feature is available only on certain models.
X
Unscrew the air dryer cartridge by turning it to the left.
X
Screw the new air dryer cartridge on and tighten the air
dryer cartridge by hand.

Screw in the safety bolt (if available).
