INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Installing New Cutterbar Drive Gearbox

To install the new gearbox (MD #236983) provided in the kit, follow these steps:

1.

Attach gearbox mounting plate (A) (MD #236985) to
frame with ten each of the following:

• 1.25 in. long grade 5 hex head bolts (MD #21491)

• USS hardened flat washers (B) (MD #137699)

• Flange lock nuts (MD #50186)

Mounting plate, bolts, washers, and nuts are all
provided in kit.

Lift the left-hand end of the top cover and hold it up.

Position new gearbox (A) (MD #236983) inside the
frame against the gearbox mounting plate (B) as shown
at right.

IMPORTANT:

Use an appropriate lifting device. The gearbox
weighs approximately 68 kg (150 lb.).

NOTE:

Left-hand frame member and top cover removed
from illustration for clarity.
