Platform

Swing-away platform and stair units are provided on the windrower for access to the operator

s station and for engine bay

maintenance.

5.4.1

Opening Platform

Only the left cab-forward side platform can be opened.

DANGER

To prevent bodily injury or death from the unexpected start-up of the machine, always stop the engine and remove the
key before making adjustments to the machine.

CAUTION

Do NOT stand on an unlocked platform. It is unstable and may cause you to fall.

NOTE:

The procedure shown is for the M1170 and M1240 windrowers. The M1170

NT5

windrower is similar.

5.4.2

Closing Platform

Close the platform after moving it to access the components behind it or the engine compartment.
