Preseason Check

CAUTION

• Review the operator’s manual to refresh your memory on safety and operating recommendations.

• Review all safety signs and other decals on the header and note hazard areas.

• Be sure all shields and guards are properly installed and secured.

Never alter or remove safety

equipment.

• Be sure you understand and have practiced safe use of all controls. Know the capacity and operating

characteristics of the machine.

• Check the first aid kit and fire extinguisher. Know where they are and how to use them.

Perform the following tasks at the beginning of each operating season:

• Adjust tension on drive belt. Refer to

5.7 Drive Belt, page 84

• Perform all annual maintenance. Refer to

5.8 Maintenance Schedule, page 90
