Changing Tow-Bar Hitch Connection from Clevis to Pintle

The transport tow-bar includes clevis and pintle ring towing mounts.

1.

Remove the hairpin from clevis pin (A) and disconnect
chain (B). Store clevis pin (A) with the clevis adapter.

2.

Remove four nuts, four bolts, and eight flat washers (C)
from the end of the tow-bar. Retain the hardware for
reinstallation.

Tape or tie 6 m (20 ft.) of pull-line to harness
transport end (A).

4.

Remove bolt (B) securing the harness in the P-clip. Retain
the bolt for reinstallation.

5.

From hitch end (C), gently pull the harness out through the
opening in clevis (D) until you can see the pull-line, then
disconnect the pull-line and set the clevis adapter aside.
Leave the pull-line inside the tow-bar.
