5.3 Position of the pan in the lower broiler
General Recommendations
For best results, place the broiler pan
at an horizontal position and make
sure it is centered in relation with the
burner (see illustration).
To brown foods less than 2,0 cm
thick, we recommends an approxi-
mate time of 12 minutes, for
example bread toast.
For food items thicker than 2,0 cm
(boned), we recommends a time of
20 - 30 minutes approximately, for
example hamburger patties.
For food thicker than 3,5 cm, we
recommend an approximate time of
40 to 50 minutes , for example
chicken breasts.
Constantly check the degree of
cooking to avoid overbrowning the
surface.
• If I there is a grease fire in the
broiler pan, turn off the oven
burner and keep the broiler cavity
closed until the fire extinguishes.
• For better results, keep the broiler
door closed during cooking.
