Changing the blades
DANGER! Risk of injury! Never
hold the blade by the cutting edge.
Wear protective gloves when working
with the blade.

P. 8, item 15
– Lift the machine at the front and set it on
end.
Disassembly
– Loosen the blade screw (40) using a 17
mm hexagon spanner.
– Remove the washer (42).
– Carefully remove the blade (39).
Installation
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
Ensure the correct installation posi-
tion: the journals (41) must line up
with the holes in the blade.
– Carefully put the blade (39) into place.
– Put the washer (42) into place.
– Tighten the blade screw (40) using a 17
mm hexagon spanner (45–60 Nm).
Replacing the air filter
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
The product must never be operated
without the air filter, as this can cause
damage to the motor.
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
Always use original air filters
approved by the manufacturer.

– Switch off the motor and remove the spark
plug connector.
– Open the air filter housing (16).

– Remove the air filter (43).
– Clean all parts of the air filter unit.
– Fit new air filter.
– Re-close the air filter housing (16).
Checking the motor oil level

– Unscrew and remove the motor oil filling
plug (12).
– Read-off the oil level on the dip stick on
the underside of the motor oil filling plug.
– The oil level must lie between [L] and [H] .
Cleaning/replacing the spark plug

Do not touch the spark
plug connector and spark plug while
the motor is running.

– Disconnect the spark plug connector (17).

– Unscrew the spark plug (44) using a spark
plug spanner.
– Check the electrode for discolouration.
Standard colour: light brown
– Check the electrode distance with a feeler
gauge. Correct distance: 0,7-0,8 mm
Cleaning the spark plug
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
To clean the spark plug, use only wire
brushes with brass bristles. Bristles of
any other material will damage the
electrode!
– Remove rust from the electrode with a
wire brush.
Replacing the spark plug
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
Fit the spark plug only when motor is
cold.
– Insert a cleaned or new spark plug and
tighten by hand.
– Hand-tighten the screwed-in spark plug,
then use the spark plug wrench to firmly
tighten by another quarter turn, tightening
any more will damage the threads.
– Replace the spark plug connector (17)
firmly on the spark plug.
Storage and transport
Storage
DANGER! Risk of injury! Store the
product so that it cannot be started up
by unauthorised persons.
Ensure that nobody can injure them-
selves on the product while it is sta-
tionary.
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
Do not store the product unprotected
in a humid environment.
– Clean the product prior to storage.
– Store the product in a dry, well-ventilated
place.
