Connection schematic for analysing devices
Additional analyzing instruments, for
example a LED digital display instru-
ment only needs to be connected to a
power supply and the analog outputs
from the pyrometer (exception: the
digital display DA 6000 also can be
connected with its serial interface, the
digital display DA 6000-N has to be connected with its serial interface).
Another Instruments like a controller or printer can be connected to the
display in series as shown above (total load of resistance max. 500
Ohm).

installation
5.1 Accessories
(option)
Numerous accessories guarantee easy installation of the pyrometers. The following overview shows a selec-
tion of suitable accessories. You can find the entire accessory program with all reference numbers on section
Reference numbers
.
Mounting (for IS 5; IGA 5):
For easy mounting and aligning the pyrometer to the
measured object an adjustable
mounting angle
is avail-
able.

Cooling (for IS 5; IGA 5):
The completely covered water cooling jacket made from
stainless steel protects the pyrometer if exposed to a hot
environment. It is designed for ambient temperatures up
to 180°C.

Miscellaneous (for IS 5; IGA 5):
The
air purge
protects the lens from contamination with
dust and moisture. It has to be supplied with dry and oil-
free pressurized air and generates an air stream shaped
like a cone.
The pyrometer can be easily fixed on a vacuum chamber
with the KF 16 vacuum support with sighting window.

The
scanning mirror unit SCA 5
(for IS 5; IGA 5)
enables the
measured object to be scanned over a certain range. The measuring
beam of the pyrometer moves straight in one line across the object
and collect temperature data of this line. This is useful in combina-
tion with the maximum value storage (peak picker) to measure ob-
jects which move out of the target area. The scanning angle of the
mirror is 0 ... 12°, the scanning frequency 0 ... 5 Hz. Both values are
easily adjustable at the instrument.
The
mounting tube
(for IS 5; IGA 5)
is used for fixing of the py-
rometer at machines and protects the instrument. It is equipped with
an air connector to cool the pyrometer with compressed air and to
purge the optics to keep it clean.
The
flange tube
is similar to the mounting tube, it will be delivered
with an additional flange for fixing. This flange has to be welded in
the required position.
