Syncing Log Files
ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center – Once connected to the Model 334A,
the program window is displayed on the PC and file synchronization will occur. When a
partnership is created, a folder is created on the PC in the My Documents folder or desktop with
a name corresponding to the Model 334A name (e.g. M334A_303 My Documents ) and
includes all the Model 334A log files. Files will continue to sync each time the unit is
plugged in to the PC.
File Explorer – Depending on where the log files are being stored, you may have to check
both My Documents on the main drive (labeled ‘/’) and the SD card. The files will be
displayed there. You may select any or all of the log files and manually copy them to a more
permanent storage location on the PC. The files can then be opened, imported into a
spreadsheet or printed.
Each log file contains time stamps in the name of the file. They are formatted with YYYY
being the year, MM being the month, and DD being the day of the file creation. Each file
begins with a header line describing the individual fields. Each subsequent entry in the log
files is stamped with the time and date of its creation. The list below describes the files and
their contents:
Pu239_Acute_YYYYMMDD.txt — This text file contains the log of acute readings
archived during the Model 334A dose measurement period. Note: the file name may be
different if Pu-239 is not defined as the isotope-of-interest (i.e. Am241 above). New
acute log files are started daily at midnight .
Pu239_Chronic_YYYYMMDD.txt — This text file contains the log of chronic readings
archived during the Model 334A dose measurement period. Again, the file name may be
different if Pu-239 is not defined as an isotope-of-interest (i.e. Am241 above). New
chronic log files are started weekly on Sunday morning at midnight .
