IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed including
the following:
1. Read all instructions before operating.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces.
Use handles orknobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock do not im-
merse cord, plug, base of the unit, or the com-
plete appliance in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appli-
ance is used by or near children.
5. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and
before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool
before putting on or taking off parts, and before
cleaning the appliance.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunc-
tions or has been damaged in any manner.
7. If a problem arises return the appliance to an
authorized service agent for examination, re-
pair or adjustment.
8. Do not use accessories or attach-
ments that are not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let the cord hang over the edge
of a table or counter, and do not touch
the hot surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric
burner, or in a heated oven.
12. Ensure that the control knob is turned to the
off setting before inserting or removing the plug
from the wall outlet.
13. Do not use the appliance for anything other
than it’s intended use.
14. Extreme caution must be used when moving
an appliance containing hot oil or other liquids.
15. Place a heat resistant pad or mat under the unit
before using it to prevent possible heat dam-
age to the counter or table top.
16. Any appliance when plugged into an electrical
outlet should not be left unattended.
17. Do not clean with metal scouring pads, which
can break off the pad and touch the electrical
parts, creating a risk of electrical shock.
18. Any maintenance other than cleaning should
be performed only by an authorized service/
repair agent. Alternatively the appliance can be
returned to the store where it was purchased,
along with the purchase slip.
19. This appliance is not intended for use by per-
sons (including children) with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concern-
ing use of the appliance by a person respon-
sible for their safety.
20. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
21. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be
high when the appliance is operating.
22. This appliance is not intended to be operated
by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
23. This appliance is for household use only.
Tips about the electrical cord
• A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce
the risk of entanglement.
• Longer detachable power-supply cords or ex-
tension cords are available and may be used
if care is taken.
• If a long detachable power-supply cord or exten-
sion cord is used:
• The marked electrical rating of the cord set or ex-
tension cord should be greater than the electrical
rating of the appliance.
• The longer cord should be arranged so that it
will not drop over the counter top or table top
where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over unintentionally.
Operating Instructions
1. Place your stove on a solid, safe surface.
Do not place it on a glass surface or a finely
finished wood surface.
2. Place a heat resistant pad or mat under the unit
before using it to prevent possible heat damage
to counter or table top.
3. Plug the cord into the electrical wall outlet and
turn the thermostat to the desired heat setting
4. Turn the thermostat to lowest setting (0 position)
when finished. Then unplug the cord from the
electrical outlet.
Cleaning Instructions
1. Unplug the cord.
2. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth or sponge.
Do not use steel wool or abrasives.
3. No maintenance other than cleaning is required
on this appliance.

IF THE SUPPLY CORD IS DAMAGED IT
MUST BE REPLACED BY THE MANUFACTURER
OR IT ‘S SERVICE AGENT TO AVOID
A HAZARD.
