Chapter 4 Configuring the STM-1 Mode Ports and Channels Using the Console

Configuring All Virtual E1 Channels on a Port (Without Strapping)

Bring Interface Into Service

Brings the out-of-service configured interface to in-service sta-
tus. The value

InService

is displayed in the [Operational Sta-

tus] and the [Administrative Status] fields.

Take Interface Out Of Service

Takes the in-service configured interface to out-of-service sta-
tus. The value

OutOfService

is displayed in the Operational

Status and the Administrative Status fields.

Configure Interface

Displays an interface configuration window for the selected
port.

Go Back to Port Configuration

Redisplays the Channelized STS1 Virtual Port Configuration
window.
