Take All Interfaces Out Of Service

Takes the in-service configured interfaces for all the chan-
nels for the specified virtual port to out-of-service status.
An asterisk is displayed beside all configured interfaces.
You must use this command first before using the

Delete

All Interfaces On This Port

command.

Go Back to AU-3 Port Configuration

Redisplays the Channelized STM-1 SM AU-3 Port Config-
uration window.

Loopback

Default:

NoLoop

Range: N/A

Format: Predefined

Specifies whether the port is to be used for loopback
testing and, if so, the type of loopback to be performed.

NoLoop

Removes the selected loopback allowing traffic to pass
through the module.

LocalLoop

Selects the local loopback mode for the virtual port.
When selected the signal is received from another
module in the chassis, sent through the module cir-
cuitry, including the SAR function, and the chassis
backplane to the originating module.

LineLoop

Selects the line loopback mode which loops the
received signal through the receiver and the line driver,
and back out to the originating point.

TestMode

Selects the port diagnostics that are available through
the Port Diagnostics window (selected through the

to Port Diagnostics

command) which allows BER

and loopback testing at the port level.

Range: N/A

Format: Predefined

Indicates what type of synchronization is used by the
interface to maintain proper data flow through the
PSAX system and the remote devices connected to the
system. This field displays the timing option you set on
the Channelized STM-1 SM/MM Port Configuration
window.

LocalTiming

Selects a synchronization source (CompositeClock,
T1BITS, E1ETSI, CompositeClockDS0A, Freerun, or
LineTiming) that is provided through the Stratum 3–4
module. For GR-303 configuration, select this default.

LoopTiming

Selects the recovered clock from the received data and
is used as the transmit clock on the selected interface.

SRTS

Not supported in this release.

Adaptive Timing

Not supported in this release.
