Line Buildout (LBO)

Broadband Single-Mode Attenuators 
— Yellow LBOs

Description

The Yellow LBOs have been designed to operate over the 1310 and 1550 nm 
ranges for Single Mode to Single Mode operation. Operating over such a wide 
band results in an attenuation tolerance penalty. These LBO attenuators have 
been the attenuators used in the FT-2000, LCT-2000, and the initial OLS 
equipment. Table I-2 lists the specifications for this type of LBO.
