Checking overall status of ADSL-DMT interface
Introduction
The system creates a read-only
a l - d m t - s t a t
profile for each ADSL-DMT interface.
The profiles provide statistics and connection status. Following are the relevant
parameters, shown with sample settings for an active line:
AL-DMT-STAT example
[ i n A L - D M T - S T A T / { s h e l f - 1 s l o t - 3 4 } ]
p h y s i c a l - a d d r e s s * = { s h e l f - 1 s l o t - 3 4 }
l i n e - s t a t e = a c t i v e
s p a r e - p h y s i c a l - a d d r e s s = { a n y - s h e l f a n y - s l o t 0 }
s p a r i n g - s t a t e = s p a r i n g - n o n e
s p a r i n g - c h a n g e - r e a s o n = u n k n o w n
s p a r i n g - c h a n g e - t i m e = 0

Parameter descriptions
Parameter
Setting
l i n e - s t a t e
Indicates the overall state of the line. Possible values are as
follows:
d o e s - n o t - e x i s t
—Link is not physically present on
board.
d i s a b l e d
—Line is disabled.
a c t i v e
—Multipoint is established.
s p a r e - p h y s i c a l -
a d d r e s s
Indicates the shelf, slot, and port number of the spare
(redundant) LIM.
s p a r i n g - s t a t e
Indicates the state of the redundancy function. If redundancy
is not enabled,
s p a r i n g - n o n e
is the value. If sparing is
enabled and the LIM slot is a primary LIM, the value can be
p r i m a r y - a c t i v e
or
p r i m a r y - i n a c t i v e
. If
sparing is enabled and the LIM slot is the secondary (spare)
LIM, the value can be
s e c o n d a r y - a c t i v e
or
s e c o n d a r y - i n a c t i v e
.
