Examples for configuration of ADSL2+ line codes

Introduction

The following three examples illustrate line code options that are available with ADSL2+ 
LIMs to support line rates that are higher than legacy ADSL rates. 

Configuration for ADSL2 

Setting the 

line-code

 in the 

line-config

 subprofile to 

adsl2

 will configure an al-dmt port 

to attempt to use the ADSL2 protocol (ITU-T G.992.3). The line will attempt to use this 
protocol and will not train if it is unsuccessful.

Configuration for extended reach ADSL2 (READSL2) 

Setting the 

line-code

 in the 

line-config

 subprofile to 

adsl2re

 will configure an al-dmt port 

to attempt to use the READSL2 protocol (ITU-T G.992.3 Annex L). The line will attempt 
to use this protocol and will not train if it is unsuccessful.
