Verify that drop wire protector panel is grounded to the pedestal ground bus
per instructions for the type of panel being used.

Verify that fiber drop is terminated with an
ST

lightguide cable connector that has
been attached to optical unit backplane coupler. Also verify that excess fiber cable is stored in
fiber retaining bracket.
7.
Verify that fiber drop, including metal shield, is securely fastened to wire clamp
and the wire clamp is securely attached to ground bracket in bottom of 900A2
or 900A3 DT closure.
8.
Verify that copper pairs from 900A2 or 900A3 DT closure to drop wire protec-
tor panel have been installed.
9.
Remove cover to DC power interface by loosening the screw at the bottom of
the box, sliding the bottom out, and pushing down.
10. Verify the installation of, or install (first connect the ground wire then slide the
pack into place and tightening the retaining screws), the DC power interface
circuit pack (Figure 4). Ensure the DC power interface retaining screws are
tight and the ground wire is attached between one of the screws on the back of
the DC power interface circuit pack and the pedestal ground bus.
11. Verify that the DT(s) power cord has been connected to the DC power inter-
face circuit pack (Figure 4).
