Procedure

Important!

It is very important to follow the instructions below exactly (step

by step). Otherwise there is a risk that the shelf will be put out of shape and
that it will not be possible to insert the XC circuit packs in the slots.

Proceed as follows to mount the

LambdaUnite

®

MSS subrack:

Mount the subrack guides (CC848972220 (left) and CC848972246 (right), item 1) at
hole positions #64 and #65 as shown in the figure below.

NOTE:

The hole numbering is counted from top to bottom of the rack frame.

Unpack the subrack and check the installation materials.

Temporarily remove the front mounting brackets (DC1003774, item 1 and DC1003775,
item 2) from the subrack. The rear brackets should not be removed.

NOTE:

Mount four fiber clips (CC848850756, item 5) on the front mounting brackets.

Slide the subrack from the rear into the rack.

Mount the subrack on the rear rack frame using M6x16 screws (CC901331421) with 7
± 1.0 Nm [61.96 ± 2.65 lbs-in] torque. Use the following hole positions: #32, #37,
#42, #48, #54, #59 and #64 (see section

“Result” (p. E-9)
