comcodes please refer to the Engineering Drawings ED8C948-10 and ED8C948-20,
that you can:

find appended at the end of this document, correct at the time of going to print (if
they were ordered from the Customer Information Center (CIC))
•
order in the latest version from CIC at
http://www.cic.lucent.com/drawings.html
with the order codes “ED8C948-10” and “ED8C948-20”.
Cable data
Important!
Only the fiber cables with listed comcode (see Engineering Drawings)
are allowed to be used, otherwise the proper functioning of the system cannot be
guaranteed. Halogen and halogen-free fiber cables are available.
There are the following Single Mode (SM) cables:
•
Single Mode (SM)-minicord break-out cable
•
Single Mode (SM)-simplex cable.
The following Multi Mode (MM) cables are available (for GE1/SX4 only):
•
Multi Mode (MM)-minicord break-out cable
•
Multi Mode (MM)-simplex cable.
Connector data
LC connectors with an angled boot of 40-45 degrees are used for termination to port
units (blue connector for SM). The LC boot must remain freely rotatable around the
connector length axis after termination, in order to adjust its orientation to the fiber
routing direction without damaging the fiber.
