Mounting of special fiber guides

Important!

The following procedure must only be performed if it is necessary to

route fiber cables within the rack extension (width). In that case special fiber
guides which are part of the rack extension kit (CC848894416) must be mounted
on each subrack. The upper fiber guides which are delivered with the subrack (with
cable trough) are not used. The fiber guide kit, which includes the special fiber
guides, can also be ordered separately (CC848957734).

(width) are given in chapter 4, section

“Fiber engineering rules” (p. 4-89)

Proceed as follows to mount the special fiber guides:

Mount one fiber guide (right) (DC2009439, item 1) on the top right side of each
subrack using two self-tapping screws (DC1002024) as shown in

Figure 3-17, “Fiber

guide mounting” (p. 3-33)

NOTE:

The mentioned screws, which are also part of the fiber guide kit, must be used

because they are longer than the normal ones.

Mount one fiber guide (left) (DC2009433, item 2) on the top left side of each subrack
in the same way.

Mount one side guide (DC2009437, item 3) on both bottom side panels of each
subrack using two M2.5x6 screws.
