Chapter 6. Communication Function

The state that remote 1 connection is finished is state of logical connection, and this is the same as
RS-232C cable is connected. All of On-line menu can be used(But this is not possible if PLC
different from CPU type of project currently opened). Operation is finished with remote 1 connection
and connection is cut off, then following message is displayed

GM3 remote I/O (G3L-RREA, G0L-GWRA) has a connector for RS-232C connection. Remote

connection from GM3 remote I/O station, G0L-GWRA to GM1~GM7’s PLC is possible.

GM4, GM6 don’t have above function and G0L-GWRA’s station no. is always 63. (When using the

G0L-GWRA, be careful that station no. 63 is not repeated in the Rnet network.)

Caution when remote 1 connection in GMWIN

1) If currently opened project in GMWIN is different from CPU type connected with remote 1,

following items are not supported

(1) Writing of program and each parameter
(2) Reading of program and each parameter
(3) Monitor
(4) Flash memory



(5) Link enable setting
(6) I/O information
(7) Forced I/O information

(8) I/O skip

2) When GMWIN is programmed by connecting remote 1, user should open corresponding project of

station to be connected and perform remote connection.
